Audrey played soccer last fall in the AYSO league.
She had a pink and black uniform and was on the "Pink Berries" team. Audrey is a very shy girl, it takes time for her to warm up to new surroundings and new people. She did not know anyone on her team, this was a big challenge for her.
There were 6 girls on her team. 3 girls from each team were on the field at one time.
Audrey was #4, she think it is because she is 4 years old!
Every Saturday we packed up and went to soccer. Audrey began to excel mid season when Joe began bribing her with M&M's. Each time she kicked the ball she got 1 M&M in return. Coach Richard was very impressed with Audrey's progress.
Coach Richard had a very busy coaching schedule. Our trophy ceremony was in the lunch quad at Roosevelt Middle School. Each girl came home with a trophy, Audrey was so proud!
Audrey received her name from the team banner and a big gold trophy.
After the last game of the season Joe and I treated Audrey to frozen yogurt to celebrate. She also got the princess slippers that she had been asking for as a gift. Joe and I were so proud of Audrey for sticking with soccer all season. She is looking forward to playing again next fall. I will be coaching her team; I just completed the application.
