Good Times

The Ward family has been having fun this summer. Here are some pictures that we have taken on several different occasions.
Olivia was having a blast at Eagle Rock Rec Center.  She loves the swings!
We went to San Diego at the end of July to visit our friends who were out on vacation from Detroit.  Audrey was in a great mood that day and gave me this crazy smile.
We spent the morning at Scripps Aquarium in La Jolla, it was beautiful.
The three girls were never really in sync, but there is a picture (the best one) of all of them; Julia, Audrey and Olivia.
Joe and Olivia  take a minuite to pose for a picture.
I think it was funny face day for Audrey.  ha!

The girls loves looking up into the big tank.
Julia likes looking cool for the camera

Another day, another adventure....BATH TIME!
It is Olivia's favorite time of the day!
Audrey usually has a great time too.  Unless it is time to wash her hair.
Last night after bath time Olivia was posing inside the otttoman

Olivia is so proud of herself lately for finding her belly button.  It is the highlight of my night after a long day at work.

one, two, three...

Olivia took her first steps this weekend!  I was so happy to share that moment with Joe and not hear about it after I get home from work. We also got to share it with Joe's mom and sister.

On Saturday we went to Sea World with one of Audrey's best friends Amelie.  I don't know what Audrey was more excited about; Shamu or seeing Amelie.
On Sunday we were relaxing with Joe's family before the drive back to LA and Olivia got bold and stepped away from daddy.  She also did it again when we stopped at my parents house on the drive home.  That is 3 and counting.  Wow she is now on the move.

Joe is in San Francisco tonight and when I turned around earlier I found that Olivia had pushed the chair up to the TV and was standing on the CHAIR!!!  WHAT!!!! But yes, I did take a picture before I got her down.  As I am typing Olivia is finishing off her dinner of cheese ravioli with pesto that was served with zuccini and carrots.  Her appitizer included blue berries and ripe heirloom tomatoes. YUM!
She is amazing and I love to watch her grow and develop these behaviors even if they are annoying!

Easter Weekend 2010

We drove down to San Diego this weekend to celebrate Easter with the Ward family.  We all had a wonderful time and celebrated Easter morning with a lovely brunch at Joe's Aunt's home.

Saturday morning we went to the San Diego zoo.  We are members and thought it would be a great way to spend the day.  The weather was perfect!
Near the elephant exhibit Audrey wanted to pose with mommy and Olivia.  This is one of the best pictures I have with my girls.

The girls had a wonderful time!

Olivia was being super cute for the camera!
The elephants were out and about!  There were several that we got to see up close.

Audrey and Olivia had a chance to pose as bugs.

Olivia had her first goat petting experience.  Audrey was excited to share the moment too!

Mama lion was chilling up close.
We has so much fun at the zoo  :)

Traveling to San Diego

Thanksgiving was a week ago today and I still feel like I cam catching up trying to get back into my regular routine.  Audrey had her first field trip with Celebration Kids this morning.  She usually does not go to school on Thursdays, but we tagged along anyways.  It was fun, Audrey got to ride the gold line "train" with her classmates from the Mission station in South Pasadena to the Del Mar station in Pasadena.  From the Del Mar station we walked across the street to a park where everyone got to run around and play. We also had a picnic lunch.  I am so happy that I am able to participate in Audrey's school.  I feel very blessed that I am able to stay at home and not work!

Audrey and Olivia have been playing together very nicely lately. Audrey loves her little so much, and if we have a problem it is usually Audrey squeezing the love out of Olivia.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we went to San Diego to visit Grandma Kathie. We made a special trip that weekend to see Joe's older sister Theresa and her family.  We only get to see them about once a year.  Here Audrey is playing in the bed that grandma made for her with Izzy.

There was a house full of family. Audrey is posing here with her older cousin Izzy, Olivia, baby cousin Maggie, Grandma Kathie and Grams.  It was almost impossible to get a good picture of everyone!

Olivia had her first taste of chocolate cake!

We also had a house full of dogs!

Aunt Jen took this photo of the 4 girls before we left Sunday morning.   It is too bad that Izzy and Maggie live so far away.

After we returned from our quick trip to San Diego we were tired!  We decided to munch on some yummy treats and shared a few with olivia.   She sucked the dark chocolate off of the chocolate covered pretzels and loved every taste!  As you can see here she was a happy baby that day!

After eating all of her chocolate Olivia needed a bath.  Joe and I decided that it was time to ditch the big plastic bath that sat in the kitchen sink. Olivia had her first real bubble bath with her big sister Audrey.

Olivia really did enjoy herself.  She now is bathing with her sister all of the time.  It is so cute watching her discover her abilities and limitations in the bath!

But with that said Olivia has to deal with her big sister in the bath.  Audrey was excited to wash Olivia's hair.  She survived!
