Olivia turns 3!!!

Our baby is growing up so fast!!! Olivia now has her own attitude and way of living life!  She loves to dance and swim.  Teacher Ozzie with Star Dreams dance center is one of her favorite teachers.  Olivia is always excited to take her class on Fridays.  Olivia loves to go to bed at night with a rub and a pat on her back.  I think she is spoiled at school.

I took this picture of Olivia during our 4 month well check up with Dr. Henry.  I remember having so much fun playing with the baby in the mirror while waiting for the doctor.
This is one if the first photos that I took with both of my girls.  Olivia is now a year older than Audrey in this photo.  Wow was I tired that year!
This was Olivia's first tamale at El Arco Iris.  This was her favorite meal for her first 2 years.  She now prefers a cheese enchilada with rice and beans.
This is one of the last photos I have of Olivia and the bottle.  We transitioned her to a sip cup after her first birthday.
Olivia was showing off her walking skills!  I loved this outfit:  white onesie jumper with gold lame stripes!
Last year Olivia would let me do her hair.  She now refuses to let me near her hair and screams bloody murder if I get one brush stroke in.
Olivia's 2nd birthday party!!  I thought she looked old then, but now looking back she was still my little baby.  She is so grown up now!

Fathers Day 2011

We had a fun packed weekend!  On Sunday we spent the afternoon at the park, sat on the grass and had a nice picnic.  Joe and I were trying to tech Audrey how to pump her legs on the swing.  It was a beautiful day.  Afterwards we went home and I made a special dinner of lobster risotto.

We celebrated Joe's Birthday the next evening with dinner out at our local sushi spot and cupcakes from Auntie Em's bakery.

Joe and I both took the following Friday off of work and we drove into Ventura and spent the weekend at Mandalay Bay @ Embassy Suites. It was a bit chilly but the girls had so much fun swimming.  They put on their purple water wings and I was able to relax a little.  We had no time for pictures...but here is the view from our room.

October has come around too quickly!  I cannot believe that we have already chosen our Halloween costumes and are now receiving Christmas catalogs in the mail!  WOW!

Joe and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary on October 8th. It is such a wonderful feeling to celebrate this milestone and still feel like I met him yesterday.  This is a good thing!

We planned a get away to Santa Barbara to celebrate our anniversary, but our plans did not work out. We decided to drive up Turlock and visit Joe's sister Theresa to celebrate our nieces' birthdays, Izzy turned 3 and Maggie turned 1.  Our family had so much fun taking a 5 hour car trip with the girls and spending every moment of the weekend with them.  It was a wonderful weekend, Audrey and Olivia loved playing with their cousins and all 3 dogs!
Before we went home on Sunday we drove to a nearby park to take some photos.  With 4 girls under 4 it was difficult to get a good shot.  This is one of my favorites with Grandma Kathie.
This shot is funny...look at Maggie, she is having so much fun!
Audrey and Izzy were climbing in the tree, it was nice to see them having so much fun together.  We were sad when we had to leave.

Peter and Joe has to stop the girls from chasing the goose that was as tall as them.  Peter was sure that the goose would end up chasing the girls instead!
 Daddy and his baby girl!
I love them :)
Once we were home, life was back to normal.
Audrey and Olivia love sharing life together.  Audrey refuses to let us tie her hair back lately.  It drives me crazy.  Please note this for the future when she is old enough to see these photos and get mad at me because her hair is everywhere.
Here are my 2 cuties playing outside after the rain.  Audrey is so proud of her "baby sister" and loves to tell everyone who will listen all about her.

Audrey turns 3 years old

Yes, Audrey is now 3 and I cannot believe how quickly time has flown by. Audrey was tall (Joe cannot remember the exact height as I am typing) when she went to the doctor for her 3 year well visit.  She was in the 90% percentile for height and head circuference and 70% for weight at 34 lbs.  She has beautiful long brown hair that had grown in in the last year and is perfect in every way. This year we celebrated her birthday with a princess party.
Audrey was excited to dress up as princess Aurora (all in pink). We celebrated with family, and friends from the neighborhood and Audrey's school.

Here is the birthday girl in action!
I found a pink care bear pinata at the local hispanic party store. It was a little bit too sturdy, but thanks to Ryan and some help from Alex the bear finally broke.

Everyone found good treats on the grass, even Olivia!
Yes, I made her put the shoes back. We also had a jumper in the back yard for the kiddos to jump out all of their extra energy.
Audrey has a very pretty Mermaid Cake that Joe picked out for her at Porto's Bakery.  It was not as tasty as Dorie's cake, but it hit the spot.
Audrey was sitting very patiently for her cake after blowing out the candles.
Yes,  this is the best family photo of the evening. Thanks Jen!
Here is a shot of Audrey and all of her friends in a deep discussion waiting for cake to be served.  They are so cute growing up, being able to carry on a conversation. This was a first!
Finally cake was served!
Olivia was enjoying herself...seriously!

Olivia turns 1!!!

Life has been whizzing by now that I have returned to work.  But we still have been having fun!  Olivia turned 1 on April 14th, weighing in at 21.5 pounds, and 29" long. She is in the 50% percentile for weight, height and head circuference.  She has developed a spit fire attitude lately.  It is probably a defensive mechanism against her sister who's new past time is beating her sister.
Watch out Audrey, Olivia is getting ready to retaliate!
The weekend before Olivia's birthday, we celebrated birthdays with 2 of our good friends.  These photos were taken at MY GYM where Avery celebrated her second birthday.
Olivia loved the ball pit!

Olivia turned 1 on Wednesday April 14th.  Since mom and dad had to work, she went to school and celebrated with her teachers and friends.  Teacher Violet threw a birthday party for her, and dad bought pizza in to share.  Olivia had a party with balloons, party hats and presents.  Teacher Violet took lots of photos, but I don't have any on my computer to share.  Here Olivia is modeling her new sunglasses that go with a matching purple out fit that was gifted to her at school.

And big sister needs to try the glasses on too!

Olivia is loving her new day care.  She gets very excited when we drop her off each morning and has made many friends there.  She has been there for a month now and she has not once cried when we drop her off.  This makes my life so much easier!
Here she is chilling on her new bean bag chair.  Getting ready for the big party weekend.
I think I went a wee bit overboard with Olivia's birthday cake, but it was worth it!!

Daddy is walking Olivia around so she can greet everyone

She gets a snuggle from Grandma Kathie
Surprise!  She is playing in the climber. She loves that thing lately, but not to worry she is still to small to climb up and go down the speedy slide.

Time for cake!
Blowing out the candle

The big cake was quickly replaced with a small smasher cake for Olivia to eat all by herself. It took her 5 minutes before she began to dig in.  All of the other kids were testing their patience.
Yummy!
Audrey still waiting for her cake!

Don't you touch my cake!!!
After a bath and clean pajamas.  Olivia declares her birthday a huge success!
